About Jeremy

Jeremy L. Pierson is a Spiritual Empowerment Coach, Contemporary Mystic, speaker, facilitator, ballroom dance instructor, and former competitive professional ballroom dancer whose life has been shaped by recovery, service, and a lifelong search for authenticity.
Growing up as a sensitive and intuitive gay kid, Jeremy learned early to hide parts of himself in order to fit in. Over time, that disconnection contributed to decades of addiction to crystal meth, alcohol, sex, and pornography. Recovery became more than getting sober—it became an invitation to rediscover who he had always been beneath the fear, shame, and survival strategies.
Today, Jeremy brings both professional training and lived experience to his work. He has spent years supporting people in addiction recovery, facilitating groups, coaching individuals through life transitions, and helping others reconnect with their own inner wisdom. His own journey has given him a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to change, the humility to remain teachable, and the understanding that authentic transformation begins with awareness.
Jeremy welcomes people from every background, identity, belief system, and walk of life. Whether you’re navigating recovery, grief, relationships, spirituality, or simply longing to live with greater authenticity, you’ll find a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your own path.
Why I Call Myself a Contemporary Mystic
People sometimes ask why I describe myself as a Contemporary Mystic.
For me, being a mystic isn’t about predicting the future or claiming to possess special powers. It’s about cultivating a direct relationship with wisdom, awareness, and the deeper intelligence that is available to all of us.
I believe every person has the capacity to deepen their awareness, strengthen their intuition, and discover truth through direct experience. My role isn’t to tell people what to believe or to provide all the answers. It’s to help people ask better questions, become more honest with themselves, and reconnect with the wisdom that has always been within them.
The word contemporary is just as important. I believe spirituality belongs in everyday life. It isn’t separate from recovery, relationships, grief, work, or the ordinary moments that shape who we become. It is something we practice through honesty, curiosity, compassion, humility, and a willingness to remain teachable.
To me, a Contemporary Mystic is someone who seeks direct experience over inherited belief, awareness over certainty, and lives with an openness to discovering truth wherever it may be found.
That’s what being a Contemporary Mystic means to me, and it’s the spirit I hope to bring into every conversation, every workshop, every meditation, and every coaching session.
